The newly instated Board of Directors will convene for the first quarter in Atlanta, Georgia on March 17, 2007. The agenda will highlight new tax laws, the annual fund, and the 1st annual black tie fundraising gala scheduled for the fall.
The purpose of the Foundation is to provide financial stability for non-public educational institutions. This is achieved by developing perpetual sources of revenue through the establishment of Endowment Funds that preserve the vital functioning of these institutions. The Foundation receives contributions from individuals, corporations and organizations. The Foundation is housed in the Robert Woodruff Volunteer Center.
The greatest challenge for most urban private schools is to develop the professional infrastructure required to solicit and manage gifts. By establishing endowments, such schools can preserve their legacies and ensure a promising financial future. Our role is simple, to facilitate urban private schools in establishing endowments.
The C. A. Educational Endowment Foundation has been established to provide this special service to private schools that serve students from low and middle-income families. For the very first time, these schools will now be guided through the process of establishing long term funding designed to sustain the schools in perpetuity. This goal becomes readily accessible by establishing an endowment with CAEEF and allowing our staff to assist with private and institutional donations.
The C. A. Educational Endowment foundation offers urban private schools a unique and flexible option for creating a perpetual source of income to support their future goals.
The C.A. Educational Endowment Foundation (CAEEF) was founded as one of
two foundations in 2003. The Charitable Assistance Foundation (CAF) was
the first, established to serve community organizations’ needs
and CAEEF would serve the educational communities in establishing endowments.
Thus both foundations share a common mission of charitable assistance.
The founders Dwight and Dr. Angela Hasan wanted to establish an endowment
institution that would bring permanent financial development to urban
private schools. This would allow students from low income communities
to attend these schools. They envisioned an organization that would fund
the vital needs of urban private schools. The Internal Revenue Service
approved the foundation’s public status in January 2004.
